Michael C. Pizzuto is a full-time actor based in Los Angeles, California. "I was a child actor for the stage many moons ago, and started getting a paycheck for acting at age 16. My mom was involved with theater when I was young, and that sparked my interest. I would later go to university for a theater degree and have never looked back!"

Michael grew up back east, in Roseville, Michigan just outside of Detroit, "I would later move to the Upper Peninsula for school, and I still adore visiting the U.P. whenever I have the chance. It's a magical place."

He trained in Theatre Performance at Northern Michigan University, where he graduated with top honors.

Prior to moving to Los Angeles, Pizzuto lived in Hong Kong for almost 13 years, "I had a theater job out there which was supposed to be a one year contract, but I fell in love with the place and decided to stay." Michael hosted a children’s radio show, weekly, for almost a decade on RTHK Radio 3.

It was during this time in Hong Kong, that he started really getting into animation, and worked on many shows for Disney Channel Asia, Animax and Cartoon Network Asia, Netflix, and Amazon Prime, "I left Hong Kong with over 60 animation series under my belt, and knew that LA was the next logical step for my career."

Theatrical plays - "Once live theater started being performed again, (after Covid scares) earlier this year, I had the pleasure of working on an original drama titled "The Pitch," where I got to play a real jerk. Why? Because the bad guys are always a blast to play, either in live acting or animation!  In Oct/November 2022, I was in an immersive theater production called, "The Willows." It was so much fun toying with the audience and giving them a very creepy experience during the Halloween season."

Dubbing Movies - "I do work as an English dubbing actor pretty much every week, and the majority tend to be foreign films and series' for Netflix, HBO-Max, Amazon and others."

Animations - "I've had four animation series released this year so far on Netflix: Vinland Saga, Spriggan, Bad Exorcist and Romantic Killer."

Video Games - "Yes, I've done some work on video games as well, but sadly all are still under NDA and yet to be released."

As a Counselor for Creators Society in the Voice Actors Branch, "I have hosted a few events including our live forum about Diversity in Animation on the Clubhouse app. I also organized an event with the Composers Branch where we worked together to create songs for animation in a mini-musical contest."

Michael also took part in the 2022 December Creators Jam Contest, and his Animation group placed 1st for their animated short “Dying to Meet You”.

Advice you would give to Creators Society Members starting out?
"My advice to new Voice Actors is to take as many acting classes and improv classes and VO classes as you can possibly afford. It typically takes people years and years to get to a comfortable place in their VO career, and nothing in this business is "overnight"."

How Is being a Member important to you?
"Being in the Creators Society has helped me better understand all of the different aspects of animation that I never really understood before. I love chatting with people in Creators Society who are outside the Voice Acting world, and learn how the "animation machine" really works!  I think it's fascinating!"

"Things are going really well for me, and I'm enjoying "fighting the good fight" here in LA with this wacky and wild roller coaster entertainment business."

What else would you like to say?---mention your dog?
”No, that's OK, Bob the Dog gets enough attention as it is. "
