Michael Wakelam is an animator, writer, director, and the founder of Anthem Studios. Michael develops original children's media content and live action screenplays from his studio in London.

Our mission is to bring the animation community together to build strong relationships, provide education, and form a better understanding of the different roles we all play in creating stories. Michael Wakelam

Michael is a writer, director and creator based in London. He wrote and directed the no-budget animated short Life of Bri’ n Chris which played festivals around the world, then went on to found Anthem Studios in London, where he has been developing animated series and features, including The Wild Truth which was pitched at Cartoon Forum in 2018 and Skye Blue – Global Diplomat, a preschool project with Fonda Snyder and Irene Weibel producing.

Eric M. Miller

Podcast Executive Producer

Eric is animation producer based in Los Angeles. He started his animation career at DreamWorks Animation working across multiple departments including animation, layout, rigging, modeling, surfacing, and character effects. During his half-decade at DreamWorks, Eric collaborated on some of the biggest animation franchises in the business--including Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, and How to Train Your Dragon-- managed crews of up to 60 artists, and led animation teams in multiple locations ranging from in-house artists to artists around the globe.  

Proud of his accomplishments at DreamWorks and eager to take the next step in his career, Eric left DreamWorks Animation in July of 2014 to start his own company, Eric Miller Animation. He also later formed Moonward Studios to handle animation production services, and in 2015 founded The Creators Society. He forged strong relationships within the larger animation and production community through The Creators Society, his membership in the International Animated Film Society of Hollywood (ASIFA), and the Producers Guild of America.

His credit list includes: Monsters vs. Aliens, the Academy Awards and Annie Nominated Kung Fu Panda 2, Madagascar 3, Home, and several animated shorts.
